Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are experiencing problems with parents creating accounts in the Parent Portal. This is an issue at the State level and not remedied here at the school. We will keep you informed.
This year, all public schools in NC will move to a new online student information system called Home Base. Home Base will replace NC WISE and SPAN. Home Base will give parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades and assignments. Traditional calendar middle schools will activate the Parent Portal on September 16th to allow teachers time to learn the new system and populate the sites. Our goal is for every parent to have access when we open the site. We will disseminate login IDs during Meet the Teacher on September 12th.
- All rising 6th grade parents must complete an access form for each child.
- If you had an active SPAN account with us last year, you do not have to complete a new form
- New families to Wakefield Middle must also complete access forms, even if you had SPAN access at another WCPSS middle school.
You can also print the “notary public” form and have your ID verified by a Notary Public.
For help, download the Parent Portal User Guide or view the technical support available in the Home Base application. If you have questions about the data in Home Base, please contact your child’s teacher.
