Any
student coming to the Media Center must have a pass. Use the Media Center
passes (master provided in this folder) when sending individual students to
the facility. Make certain that you write the student’s name, time, and
assigned task on the pass. This will help us assist the student in using
his/her time wisely. Also, please sign your name on the pass.
-
If there is a
need for you to send more than 2 students Media Center to work on research,
projects, and/or word processing, please sign up on the Daily Use log and
complete a Collaborative Lesson Planning
form.
-
Please give the Media
Center staff a one-week notice when requesting “books on a cart.” A
two-week notice is needed when planning collaboration/integration lessons.
-
Reserve equipment (DVD/TV
carts, LCD/Laptop carts, video cameras, digital cameras, etc.) at the
Circulation Desk at least a day before the equipment is needed. Equipment
use is of high demand, and it is issued on a “first come, first serve”
basis. Equipment may not be checked out to an individual teacher
indefinitely.
-
A video duplication system
is set up in the Media Center for staff use. You must adhere to the
copyright laws.
-
Materials in the
Professional Collection are housed on the shelves in the Media Center
office. AVID and AG materials are housed on the same shelves.
-
A small archive of
periodical materials is housed in the work area of the Media Center office.
-
The School Grants Handbook
is housed on a shelf behind the Circulation Desk. Updated listings for grant opportunities and WCPSS
guidelines and procedures concerning applying for grants may be found in
this handbook.
-
Sign-up to use the Media
Center Computer Lab at the circulation desk in the media center. If you sign-up to use the lab
and later find that you will not need to use it, please remove your name for
that day so that others may use it.
